Student Ministry
What is point of Student Ministry?
At the heart of Trinity’s student ministry is a desire for every young person to be actively involved in the life of the church. Our ultimate goal isn’t just participation in events or trips—it’s much broader and more lasting. We want students to be regularly connected to God’s Word and Sacraments through worship, to discover and use their gifts to serve both the church and the community, and to build authentic relationships with caring adults and peers. Whether through Foundations, Sunday Bible study, Elevate Youth Group events, or gathering and serving in worship on a Sunday morning, we’re creating spaces where students can grow in faith, belong to the body of Christ, and be sent out with purpose.

Elevate Youth Group
Elevate events are seasonal gatherings for middle and high school students that happen about six times a year. These student-led events are designed to be fun, welcoming, and meaningful—creating space for laughter, connection, and growing in faith.
Each event includes: Fun activities & great food, Opportunities for student leadership, A grace-centered devotion or worship moment, An intentional culture of welcome and belonging
Every Elevate event is built around joy, community, and a deeper sense of hope, purpose, and belonging.
Join us and bring a friend—Elevate is a great first step into something lasting!

Foundations
Foundations is our student ministry program built on the idea of Laying a Foundation—equipping teens with a strong base of faith, baptismal identity, and belonging and purpose that they can build on for life. It includes two tracks:
Lutheran Foundations: Our confirmation program focused on Scripture, the Catechism, and core Lutheran beliefs.
Faith Foundations: For students who have been confirmed or are not participating in confirmation, with a focus on applying faith to everyday life.
All students meet one Sunday evening a month in consistent small groups with a dedicated adult and student leader. These groups will stay the same throughout the year so that everyone has a place to belong.

Lutheran Foundations (Confirmation)
The Confirmation process at Trinity is a family-paced faith process for young people (6th-12th grades), who want to dive deeper into understanding their beliefs and why! The Journey is quite flexible, and while the group sessions are paced in a two-year sequence, it can be completed in a year or as long as you need.
Confirmation is integrated into monthly Sunday evening Foundations nights, with students who are on the path toward confirmation joining in monthly Lutheran Foundations groups.
Together, students & a parent/mentor are invited to explore what it looks like to be followers of Jesus while working through Journal lessons, reading Scripture, and using the Catechism. At the journey's end, students are invited to publicly confirm and claim their identity as disciples who intend to continue to follow Jesus.
