Confirmation Playlist for Fall Confirmands

As you enter your final steps toward publicly affirming your faith, please use the following guides and checklists to get ready for October 26th!

Summer Task Checklist

  1. Complete Unit 8 in your Guided by Faith Journal. Use the playlist linked above for review and guide your final reflections.

  2. Prayerfully consider and chose a Confirmation verse. You will also need to write up (or be prepared to present your “why” in choosing this verse.

  3. Design the Stole you will be wearing for the Confirmation Service. Make it your own and consider symbols and colors that connect to your faith.

  4. Draft your statement of faith and complete your final reflection sheet as described in your next steps handbook.

  5. Attend the Foundations Retreat- Time to finalize your faith statement and your stole. Both completed items will be required by Sunday, August 10th.

Dates to Remember

  1. Thursday/Friday July 31 and August 1 - Foundations Retreat.

    Opportunites to complete all work needed before school starts. Great time to set the tone for the school year.

  2. Sunday, August 10th - Deadline for Faith Statements and Stoles.

  3. Sunday, September 21 Foundations Night

    We will have a kick off for small groups, it is a great time to connect with friends and mentors. This is not required, but encouraged. Parents are not required to attend.

  4. Sunday, October 12 Deadline for Final Meetings

  5. Sunday, October 12 Foundations Night and Rehearsal

    From 6:00-7:30 we will have a final celebration for all confirmands including group readings of faith statements and cupcakes. Parents are invited to attend.

    From 7:30 - 8:15 we will have a walk through of the confirmation service. This is required.

  6. Sunday, October 26 Confirmation Sunday

    1. Arrive with stoles by 8:45 for recognition in early service

      Meet in lounge at 9:15 for prayer before processional

      Service with Communion from 9:30 - 10:30

      Reception Line following service

      10:45 Late Service prayer after welcome

      Students and Families are dismissed after the late service prayer.
