2020 HS Youth

Summer Mission Trip

For the 2020 HS Youth Summer Mission Trip, our team will be serving through the Youth Works Organization, on the Wind River Reservation. While there, teams will serve by painting and weatherizing homes in partnership with tribal housing authorities, running Kids Club programming for local children, and spending time with elderly residents. Our team will learn more about native culture and the region through stories from community members, visiting beautiful Sinks Canyon State Park, and sharing a meal with the community at a cookout. Youth Works has partnered with this community since 1998 and Trinity is excited for this amazing opportunity.

I am Ben Swafford, Trinity's DCE. My true passion is Youth Ministry; I enjoy walking along side of the youth during their faith walk, challenging them to think outside of the box, encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zone when it comes to serving others, and growing with them all along the way. A verse that I hold close to my heart is Philippians 2:10, “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow…” In the highlights and low points of life, this verse reminds me that nothing is too big for our Lord and Savior, or those whom He has called.
