Trinity Lutheran students participate in the DAR (Daughters of American Revolution) yearly writing contest. The entries are to be poems or short stories of 300 words or less of an origianl nature written by students in 5th through 8th grade. First and second place winners are picked from each class at Trinity and then these entries are submitted to the State of Colorado DAR for competition among writings from other students at the same grade level.. When a first place writing is chosen, it is then sent to a southwest Division of 7 states to compete and then those winners are sent to Washington DC to compete nationwide with other students of their grade level.
