Pastor Terry Beltz:
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I fill the role as senior pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church and School and have been in this position since August of 2002. It has been my privilege in ministry to plant and serve St. John Lutheran Church/Mansfield, TX. (1985—2002), and to have served Christ and Immanuel Lutheran Churches, upon graduation from Concordia Seminary—St. Louis (1981), in the rural area of MacNutt and Landestreu, Saskatchewan (1981 -1985).
My wife, Pam, is a gifted preschool teacher, accomplished musician and choir director, and loves to work in her yard planting all kinds of flowers and bushes. We have three grown children. Samuel, serves as pastor of St. John Lutheran Church/Oskaloosa, Iowa, and his wife Cassie, have 4 children: Charlotte, Lincoln, Abram, and Silas. Katherine, a licensed social worker who recently relocated to Colorado from Austin, TX; and Emily, a hair stylist and yoga instructor, and her husband Colton reside in Caste Rock, CO.
I love the God-given beauty of the landscapes of Colorado and do not grow tired of looking out my office window to behold snow-capped peaks nor do I tire of not having to have AC during the summer months. I have recently taken up the art of fly-fishing, (still very much a novice), and I enjoy getting out and camping and hunting as time allows.
As the pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church and School my goals are to Share God’s Truth, Seek the lost and straying, and through God’s Word to Shape godly lives.
Thanks for your interest in Trinity Lutheran Church and School. God bless your day!
Trinity Lutheran Church and School
Mr. Ben Swafford, DCE
I graduated from Concordia University Texas on April 30, 2016, with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education and a specialization in Youth Ministry.
I grew up in Georgetown, Texas, and spent most of my time on our family ranch in Walburg, TX, hunting, fishing, riding horses, building fences, and working cattle. Some of my other hobbies include: all sports, biking, camping, hiking, reading, writing, and building things with my hands. Some of my passions include: youth ministry, family ministry, military support, story-telling, service projects, mission trips, community outreach, and meeting new friends along the way.
I am currently the Director of Christian Education (DCE) here at Trinity Lutheran Church. My true passion is Youth Ministry; I enjoy walking along side of the youth during their faith walk, challenging them to think outside of the box, encouraging them to step outside of their comfort zone when it comes to serving others, and growing with them all along the way. A verse that I hold close to my heart is Philippians 2:10, “at the name of Jesus every knee will bow…” In the highlights and low points of life, this verse reminds me that nothing is too big for our Lord and Savior, or those whom He has called.
I look forward to getting to know you and your youth. Blessings!
