Dear Pre Confirmation Parents and Students:
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
Pre Confirmation at Trinity Lutheran Church is for 6th graders. We have chosen to model the Jr. Confirmation (7th & 8th grade) program with a similar curriculum using “Faith Inkubators”! It is a very innovative approach for students utilizing 2 lessons, 1 servant event, and 1 fellowship event, every four weeks. This will give the students an opportunity to learn the Old and New Testaments, interact, plan and carry out servant events, and have fun together as friends in Christ.
On Sunday, August 27th, we would like to have a brief orientation for parents and students to present this new approach for 6th grade Confirmation. Time is planned for students, teachers, and parents to brainstorm some creative servant and fellowship events.
On Sunday, September 3rd, we will begin with a Fellowship Event. Therefore students will need to bring ideas for a fun event!
Pre Confirmation is held every Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour from 9:30am-10:30am.
There will be an opportunity for parents to sign up for ROCK Youth Events (6th-8th grades) for the upcoming year.
We are looking for 4 teams of parents to teach 2--4week sessions, usually 1 month in 2006 and 1 month in 2007. This would include 2 lessons, 1 servant event and 1 fellowship event per month. If you are interested in such an opportunity, please contact the Youth Office!

Jr. Confirmation (7th & 8th grade)
Dear Confirmation Parents and Students:
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
This letter is being sent to all returning and first time confirmation students and their parents to inform you of the Jr. Confirmation ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church for 7th & 8th grade students.
The Junior Confirmation ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church is considered to be a privilege and not a right of congregational membership. Therefore I invite you to consider involving your child in the confirmation ministry of this congregation.
Jr. Confirmation sessions for 2008-09 will be held on Wednesday evenings, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. (The schedule during Advent and Lent will be 5:30— 6:45pm). Our monthly schedule will include two lesson sessions, a servant event, and fellowship event, all held on Wednesday evenings. It will be our intent to follow the school calendars for Douglas County and Trinity Lutheran School regarding holiday breaks.
Mr. Brian Wright, Director of Family Ministy, will also be assisting in the Confirmation ministry this year.
An orientation session for parents and students is planned for Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 6 p.m. Our first Jr. Confirmation session is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3rd at 6pm.
